Panjab University Chandigarh

Panjab University is a State University which has UGC Recognition as well as it is funded by UGC. The University has A Grade in NAAC Rating.

Established in 1882 in Lahore (now in Pakistan), it is one of the oldest Universities in India. The University campus extends over an area of 550 acres in the city of Chandigarh.

The University has 75 teaching and research departments, besides having 15 Centers for teaching and research at the main campus in Chandigarh. About 188 affiliated colleges are affiliated to this University.

The University imparts teaching and research in science and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports. The University has faculty and students from all over the country and abroad. Various scholars visit and have discussions with both, the faculty and the students.

The Computer Culture at the Panjab University has been a part of the University since 1966. The computer center provides computing and network facilities to the entire campus. The University provides Computer and Internet access, as well as training to teachers and students.
